In a week or so well be taking a good hard look at Nvidias 7900 series, but before this, I thought it was about time we went in depth with ATIs high end cards, the X1900 XT and XTX, graciously provided by Connect3D. Let's be honest, as ATI's flagship product R520 didn't go too well. It wasn't that it was a bad product, it simply came too late to market due to an unexpected 6 month delay and on it's launch was priced much higher than Nvidia's 7800 GTX, of which had already been available at e-tailers for several months and therefore had plenty of time for its price to stabilize.

The next version of Windows, currently codenamed (Blackcomb Vienna) looks to be scheduled for release in the second half of next year. The operating system originally was going to be released in 2010, but the latest roadmap from Microsoft gives an RTM date of H2 2009. "Milestone 1" has already been shipped to Microsoft Partners. If this is all true, it will end up meaning that Windows Vista is the company's flagship operating system for 3 years, where as Windows XP was 5 years.
Only four short months ago AMD launched the Radeon HD 3870 X2 graphics card and it was the flagship ATI Radeon product, but the successor has arrived.
