CeBIT is the world's largest computer expo (COMPUTEX Taipei is the 2nd largest) and was first established in 1970. It is held each spring on the world's largest fairground in Hanover, Germany, and is a barometer of the state of the art in information technology. Since 1999, the CeBIT sponsor Deutsche Messe AG ("German Trade Show, Ltd.") has organized trade shows outside of Germany bearing the CeBIT name, CeBIT Australia is one of them. As our luck would have it, ChampionLLY was in Sydney just in time for CeBIT Australia! Let's take a look at some of the pictures he sent back.

The newly announced Eee PC 901 is based on Intel's new Atom processor and we've taken it apart. The Eee PC 901 uses the Intel Atom processor (leftmost chip under a thermal pad) but pairs it with a 945G chipset and ICH7M. It appears that Atom's Poulsbo chipset isn't quite ready yet.

With the release of their X48 Express performance chipset just a few short months back, many are asking why Intel is releasing another round of new chipsets so soon. NVIDIA CEO Huang Jen-Hsun must have felt quite sick when Intel announced that they chose to go with ATI's CrossFire X technology in the recently-launched Intel 4 Series Express chipsets and the upcoming Intel X58 Express chipset, instead of NVIDIA's competing SLI technology.
