If Hurricane Season has a meaning for you you might be living in an area that is seeing its fair share of hurricanes and tropical storms. One of the most important cautionary matters is to be well informed about new and existing hurricanes and storms and the path that they take.
Stormpulse is a website dedicated to delivering hurricane and storm information. They list all the existing storms and hurricanes on their website along with information and a map that is constantly updated which is showing the path of each hurricane and storm.
The site lists the storm category, the current wind speed and pressure as well as the latitude, longitude and movement direction of the hurricane. It will also show the path that the hurricane has taken in the past days. The user can activate forecast models that show the possible directions the storm will take in the next hours by using historical data, wind probabilities and forecast models. Major towns are shown on the map and moving the mouse over the town will show the distance between that town and the storm.
While Stormpulse is not an official source for information about storms and hurricanes it can visualize storms nicely on a map. It makes a nice additional source of information for people who are living in or moving to areas with lots of storms, tornadoes and hurricanes.
