Read more »Not all Firefox add-ons get the news coverage that they deserve. Some are mentioned on every tech site in the world while others are known to only a handful of Firefox users that dug deep into the Firefox add-on directory to find some hidden gems. And it’s those hidden gems that I want to write about today.
I’m not saying that the following Firefox add-ons are totally unknown and never appeared on a website before but if someone mentioned them it got lost in all the noise that the popular Firefox extension are causing.
I already see signs of a public outcry in the Internet landscape. How can it be that a version for a free operating system, Linux, is more expensive than the version for Windows XP ? If you know only these facts you might think that Microsoft is using their power to promote Windows on the EeePC 900 by either giving the version away for free or even subsidizing it.

Read more »If you perform a search at Yahoo you will notice that the links to the websites are redirects from a Yahoo server starting with rds.yahoo.com. This is quite confusing especially if you want to take a quick look at the url of the destination website. This also means that the loading time of those websites increases slightly because of the redirect. It has happened in the past that the redirects were slowing down the loading time tremendously because of a server problem at Yahoo.
