A new version of Firefox has been uploaded to various Mozilla ftp sites and mirrors throughout the globe which is always a sure sign that the homepage and the automatic updater in Firefox will pick the new version up pretty soon as well. Version 2.0.0.13 is labeled as a security and stability update which means you will not see new features in this release.

Read more »My Casio Exilim digital camera is naming every picture CIMGxxxx.jpg with xxxx being a number between 1 and 9999. This naming convention makes it quite hard to find out any details about the picture unless you click on it or activate thumbnail view in the folder. It does make sense in my opinion to rename the images so that they can be recognized at first glance.

Recently my mum told my grandmother’s neighbors that I could take a look at their computer which was showing a bluescreen during startup and well, it’s hard to say no to your mother so I took the computer to analyze the problem that was leading to the bluescreen message.
Read more »A new version of Revo Uninstaller was just released and I thought it would be nice to inspect the new version since my last review dates a while back. Several new features have been implemented into this new version including improvements in the Advanced Uninstall Mode, interface improvements and safety improvements for the Uninstall Safe Mode.
Read more »Microsoft likes to make things complicated from time to time it seems. When you right-click a file, folder or search result in Windows Vista you get the normal command menu with options to open, edit or print the marked objects. If you happen to press shift while right-clicking you will also notice that a new option has been added to the menu which is called Copy to Path.
Read more »Martin posted back in December about switching to a tripple-boot, having XP, Vista and Linux on the same machine. I myself installed Ubuntu a while ago and am recently switching near full-time to it. One app I really love is Amarok, one of the media players in the repositories.

Apple apparently found a way to shove the Safari browser down the throats of Windows users by bundling it with iTunes update. They report a new version of Safari when a user searches in iTunes for updates. This happens even if Safari has never been installed on the system before.
Read more »I just realized that my last Wallpaper website recommendation dates a while back and thought it would be nice to give everyone the opportunity to add some new wallpapers to his collection. The website that I’m going to introduce is called My HD Wallpapers although that title might be a bit misleading because wallpapers are available in many different sizes on the website.
Read more »No one can find out on which websites you have been once you delete the Temporary Internet Files, cookies and history in Internet Explorer, right ? That’s unfortunately wrong and should cause some concern by some users. The Internet Explorer is using so called index.dat files to store information even though the information contained in those files are hardly needed. The auto complete feature is using the index.dat file of visited websites.
